October 29, 2010 - Knowing Peter's mom would never forgive him if he didn't, Peter got a haircut with ample time for "grow-in". Also got a very stylish purple jacket for the sign-the-papers day!

October 24, 2010 - Everything is in place for next week. Peter's parents will come to town on Tuesday, Maggie on Thursday. I'm taking Friday off, despite my bosses being in town (unfortunate timing), and we'll sign the papers in the morning. We're staying at the Hyatt that weekend for our "pre-nymoon", and will have a small party at Daisy's parents' house on Saturday. So exciting!

October 15, 2010 - Peter's parents and sister, Maggie, will be coming to Hangzhou for our Sign-The-Papers ceremony!

October 2, 2010 - We decided, after going back and forth, that the best option for us is to get married first, and then apply for Daisy to go to the states as a spouse. This is a bit riskier, since the worst case scenario is close to 15 months (!!), but the best case would mean we could go to the states almost at the same time next March. If we were to apply as an unmarried couple (as fiances), the best case would be about 8 months, and the worst about 10. But it would also mean that Daisy won't be a resident for another half a year, which means she couldn't work or leave the country.

September 30, 2010 - With Peter's aunt's help, we have gotten in touch with a US immigration lawyer in China. He is very helpful, and things are already underway!

September 28, 2010 - We think we've settled on dates for the wedding. November 5th for China, and September 24 for the US. Almost our one year anniversary!

September 23, 2010 - We just told all the parents. They're just as excited as we are!

September 22, 2010 - Peter proposed!
